While the best known as the Polar Bear Capital of the World, Churchill, Manitoba is a four season tourism destination. In spring, bird migration and wildflowers are the main attraction while summer signals the return of Churchill’s beluga whale population. Churchill is the best place in the world to watch beluga whales and the only place where you can actually swim with the whales.
Churchill is also located directly under the Auroral Oval and has peak Northern Lights activity. February and March are the prime northern lights viewing months.
